The Continentals come to Cranleigh!

August 12th, 2009

The nationally known Christian music group The Young CONTINENTALS is presenting their new program for 2009 and will be appearing at Cranleigh Community Church on Saturday 15th August 2009 from 7:30pm.

This international group of young people performs contemporary Christian music. Every year The Continentals have a new programme of swinging up-tempo songs, beautiful ballads and traditional gospels. The Continentals are more than an ordinary choir; all the songs are supported by dynamic choreography and colourful light effects. Leading producers, songwriters, composers, choreographers and technical experts create a new programme each year. The Continentals want to be a real inspiration for local visitors, churches and groups.

This year’s brand new production will include new contemporary modern music hand picked by TOP industry professionals! Along with professional choreography and state of the art media, you will see The Young CONTINENTALS as you have never seen them. Churches will be astounded by the professionalism and talent of these young artists, but more than that, you will remember the spiritual impact these young Christians will bring to your community for years to come.

We hold on to HOPE as we step out in faith for the future – where only one thing is definite, Jesus Christ! Invite your entire church to this dynamic event. The concert is free, however, a free will offering will be taken during the concert. CDs, cassettes, and t-shirts will be available for purchase and auditions will be held at the end of the concert. Don’t miss it!

Dorcas Evening

July 29th, 2009

From the Autumn onwards Dorcas will be hosting some Evangelistic outreach Evenings. They will start with a meal and worship then a guest speaker. The first meal will be on Friday 9th October, 7.00pm at the church. The speaker will be Fiona Perry from St Mary’s Longfleet. Please be in prayer over the summer asking God who you could invite.

Open Church

July 24th, 2009

Throughout August our Sunday morning time will have a different style and presentation as you relax in a café environment which allows You the opportunity to meet God and fellowship with others in the way You choose.

At 10.30am we will have an introduction to our theme from ‘The Elements of God’, followed by separate discussion/teaching slots in the back classrooms from 10.45am onwards. In the main church you can have coffee and cake all morning if you wish to, and there will be a fun packed time of children’s games and creative teaching nearer the front. There will also be another craft area in the back courtyard as well as crèche facilities inside the church. There will be a creative prayer room for you to pray, reflect, and take communion if you wish to, maybe with family or with a friend and an area set aside if you want to receive ministry/prayer. At 11.30am-12.00pm we join together in the main church for a family worship time.

If all that doesn’t float your boat then do not fear… you can come along to a preaching time from 9.30-10.15am where Jack will be leading a series ‘Elements of the Bible’ throughout the summer. Or if you’re a really keen machine, why not come to both?!
